One of the main differences is that other social sciences (sociology, economics, political science,...etc.) (the big picture). On the other hand, psychology is primarily focused on , even in sub-fields like social psychology the main focus is on how an individual behaves within a group of people, not how the group as a whole behave.
Unlike other social sciences, psychology is closely related to natural sciences and more specifically biology. This is because psychologist look for answers to behaviors and mental processes through scientific research.
