The erythrocyte number, hemoglobin, and hematocrit can tell us about the type of anemia or the condition called polycythemia vera. White blood cell count, especially number and percentage of their types can show a presence of infection in the body but also leukemia or lymphoma. Low platelet number can tell us that a person is either losing them through bleeding or that they might have some clotting disorder.
