Chimera refers to an organism, which is composed of cells form two different individuals. These two individuals are usually, belongs to same species. The Chimera DNA refers to a hybrid combination of two different fragments of DNA Chimera are produced or made by taking embryonic cells from two individuals, belongs to same species. Then they are mixed together allowing them to grow into a single individual. Generally when a DNA of interest is inserted into the vector DNA so that DNA fragment replicates along with vector it results in the formation of chimera or chimeric DNA
