An aperiodic task has an exactly defined starting deadline or ending deadline or both. If not, it may have time constraints on starting or finishing times.
During the runtime of system, a specific aperiodic task must be executed with the respect of its constraints.
On contrary, periodic task has a period in which it arrives. For example after time unit passes another task arrives. it has to be finished before another time units pass because then a new periodic task may arrive.
