American Isolationism was focused on staying away from any wars led across Europe and out of the States, overseas. Congress was determined not to allow any involvement in arms sales and money loans to the countries waging wars. In addition, the economic connections and contracts were severed until the wars were over. One of the primary goals at that time was to further strengthen friendly connections with the neighboring countries in Latin America. The US troops were not sent to intervene in foreign conflicts.
