Dissolving of sugar in water:

When sugar is added in water, they form a mixture because sugar and water are simply mixed together without a chemical reaction or chemical bonding between them. Sugar transforms from solid to liquid hence changing its physical state. However, the characteristics of sugar does not change and in addition one can extract back the sugar from the solution.
