Question

# Work cooperatively. Solve each equation or inequality. $\frac{4}{x}=\frac{6}{x^{2}}$

Solution

Step 1
1 of 3

To solve this we will look at left side of equation as a function $y_1=\frac{4}{x}$ and the right side as function $y_2=\frac{6}{x^2}$.

$x\ne 0$ because functions are undefined for this value, meaning that $x=0$ can`t be solution. We will graph functions on the same plane and see if there is interception. x-coordinates of points of interception are solutions. Red graph is $y_1$ and blue is $y_2$. I used Desmos to graph these functions.
