  • remain quiescent for long periods but are capable of being activated upon re - exposure to Antigen.
  • its presence explain the rapid appearance of Antibody in secondary Humoral immune Response. ( i.e. Memory cells initiates the Secondary Humoral immune Response ).
  • so, lack of Memory B cells for a particular antigen impact the Secondary humoral Response but do not have any effect on the primary humoral response.
