In this exercise, we are asked to explain what types of evidence do historians use to study the past. Historians are scientists who specialize in the study of how people lived in the past. Having this information in mind, we know that they need evidence to back up their theories about our history. They find this evidence in artifacts, which is a common name for all man-made objects. In this regard, historians study clothing, coins, artwork, and gravesites in order to obtain these verifiable pieces of evidence.
