Blood travels through veins to the right atrium and right ventricle. From the right ventricle, it goes to the pulmonary artery which carries unoxygenated blood to the lungs. From the lungs, blood goes through pulmonary veins as oxygenated and goes into the left atrium and ventricle, then through the aorta and back into the circulation.
