To understand vocabulary I do not know I will use context clues to deduce what it means first. Then I will look it up in the dictionary and compare the definition to what I thought. Then I will use the definition as a replacement in the sentence so that I can understand the sentence better. To solidify this understanding of the new word I will make up my own sentence using the word and maybe tell a friend or family member what it means and teach them!
