A writer’s tone establishes the kind of attitude he/she wants to portray in the piece he/she is writing. Using an appropriate tone delivers the right message the writer wants to deliver to the reader. The writer’s opinion is reflective of his/her point of view, and in order to cement it and convey it to the readers, proper language, syntax, and diction should be utilized.
