William the Conqueror built it in the 11th century. It was a fortress, a castle and even the King's Zoo. Now it is a museum.

The Globe
This theatre is associated with William Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 but was destroyed by fire in 1613. The modern theatre is the exact copy of the former one.
