Jekyll became too fanciful for me
"fanciful" - over-imaginative, suggests he's going too far with science
"became" and "me" - he has changed to Lanyon before we meet him
a large, well-made, smooth-faced man of fifty, with something of a slyish cast
"something" - vague, but not too sure, shows his secrecy
"large, well-made, smooth-faced" - dominant and present, opposite to Hyde, shows juxtaposition between both characters
"slyish" - secrecy, anomalous word to describe a friend
