Ruling about whether or not Church schools that supports students in other private schools should be excluded from state sponsored tuition. This ruling was ruled unconstitutional based on religion(5-4). Justice Roberts said the discriminatory policy violates the 1st Amd and its protection for the free exercise of religion. Did Congress violate the separation of power and the president's executive authority when it created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2010 as an 'independent bureau" which would be led by a director who was appointed by the president but could not be fired, expect for 'neglect of duty to malfeasance in office". YES, SC ruled 5-4, saying that putting a single director of the agency and giving her fixed-term violates the president's executive authority. CONS, RESTRAINT

Are church-run schools entitled to a religious exemption from federal anti-discrimination laws when it comes to hiring and firing teachers. YES, 1st Amd and its protection for the exercise of religion means the govt cannot tell a church whom to employ for positions at a church school. Simple words: church can hire whoever they want. Can Trump administration exempt employers who cite religious or moral objections from part of the Affordable Care Act that requires providing no-cost contraceptives to employees? YES, 7-2.
