What is the Depletion reigon
It is the region in between the n and p type semiconductors which has the inbuilt potential. made up of positive acceptor atoms and negative donor atoms.
what happens when the depletion region is in equilibrium
the diffusion stops and the fermi level is in-between conduction and valence band.
the positive and negative charges cancel out and there is no overall charge in this region.
With diffusion of electrons do they move from high concentration to low concentration or vice versa, high fermi level to low fermi level or vice versa, p type to n type or vice versa
