Importing content to Quizlet
The basicsOpen a document you already have saved to your computer, or create a new one. Any program you use regularly, e.g. Microsoft Word, Google Docs or Sheets, Evernote, etc., will work.
Then, make sure your terms and definitions are separated by a comma, tab, or other symbol and your rows are clearly delineated with a different symbol or placeholder like a semicolon or a newline.
In the spreadsheet below, the terms and definitions are separated by a comma, and each row is a new line.
Creating your Quizlet set using Import
Now that your document is ready, go to Quizlet and click the Create button in the header.
Enter a title for your set and select the term and definition languages, then click the "Import" button.
Open your document and select the text you'd like to use, then copy it. Go back to the Create Set page and paste that text into the Import text box, making sure to enter the custom symbols that represent the breaks between terms and definitions and new rows.
This generates a preview of your set. Once you're happy with it, click the "Import Terms" button.
You'll now see the Create Set page with your terms and definitions filled in. To publish your set, click the "Create" button — and you'll be all set!
