Changing a set's visibility

Quizlet study sets are publicly accessible by default, but you can update the visibility of your sets at any time.

To do this, go to the set page you want to change. Select Edit, then select the Change link below Visible to everyone.

Open the dropdown menu below Visible to, where you'll see four options — Everyone, Certain classes, People with a password or Just me.

  • Sets that are visible to everyone are publicly accessible to all Quizlet users and show up in search results
  • Sets that are visible to certain classes can only be accessed by members of Quizlet classes that you've created or that you administrate. Users that aren't in your classes will be able to see your class sets' titles in search results and on your class pages, but won't be able to see or study the content
  • Sets that are visible to people with a password can only be accessed by people you've shared a particular set's password with. Users without a set's password will be able to see your set's title in search results and on your profile page, but won't be able to see or study the content
  • Sets that are visible only to you aren't accessible to anyone else on Quizlet. Other users won't see private sets' titles on your profile or Studied page, and they won't show up in search results
Choose the visibility option you'd like, then select Save to save your changes.

FAQs

Why don't I see the option to make my sets public?
Quizlet users under age 13 with unconfirmed accounts can only create private sets. If you have your parent confirm your account, you'll then be able to make your sets public to share them with friends and classmates.
