Managing your Quizlet subscription on your iOS device

Quizlet offers three paid subscriptions Quizlet Go, Quizlet Plus and Quizlet Teacher.

You can purchase a subscription on the website, iOS or Android app and will have access to your upgraded features whenever you're signed in to your account. Read on for more information about upgrading your account!

The cost of your Quizlet subscription can vary based on a number of factors, such as the type of subscription you purchase, your billing country and any promotions or discounts we may be offering at the time you subscribe.

Paying for subscriptions using the Quizlet iOS app

The Quizlet iOS app can only accept in-app purchases via the iTunes store. You can pay for a subscription on the Quizlet website using a Credit or debit card, Amazon Payments, PayPal, or Check. Please note that Quizlet does not accept purchase orders.

  1. To pay for your Quizlet subscription, open the iOS app and select the Profile icon
  2. Tap the upgrade button
  3. ​​Select your upgrade (Quizlet Go, Quizlet Plus or Quizlet Teacher)
  4. Sign in using your Apple ID and complete the purchase. Your payment will be charged to your iTunes account payment method upon confirmation of purchase.
Quizlet's individual subscriptions renew automatically. You will be billed each year until you cancel your subscription. To learn more about auto-renewing subscriptions and how to cancel, please see the linked article.

Canceling your subscription on the Quizlet iOS app

  1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device

  2. Tap on your name

  3. Tap iTunes & App Store

  4. Select  your Apple ID at the top of the screen

  5. Tap View Apple ID and sign in if necessary

  6. Go to Subscriptions and select Quizlet

  7. Tap Cancel subscription

You'll see a notification confirming your auto-renewing subscription has been canceled and you won't be charged again when your current subscription expires.

To be sure your cancellation takes effect before your next subscription period starts, you'll need to submit your cancellation request at least 24 hours prior to your renewal date.

Unfortunately, Quizlet cannot issue refunds to users who have upgraded via iTunes. Users must request refunds directly from Apple.

Please note: uninstalling the Quizlet app (or deleting your account) does not automatically stop your subscription.


What happens to my account and content if my subscription expires?

When your subscription expires, your account will automatically be downgraded to the free version of Quizlet and you'll no longer be able to access upgraded features. All of your existing sets, folders and classes, including any images you uploaded and audio you recorded, will remain in your account.
