Creating a new set
Choose "Create" from the Header anywhere on Quizlet.
What do you want to study?
Add a title for your study set.
If you need to add any additional information about your study set, click on "add description" to further describe what you're creating.
Who can see it? Who can change it?
On the right, you can select who can view and who can edit your set.
Choose who can see your materials.
Choose who can edit your materials.
You can always change these settings later.
What language(s) are you using?
When you start typing your terms and definitions Quizlet will auto-detect the languages you're using and prompt you to confirm our guess.
If accents or special characters are available for the language you selected, they'll pop up underneath the term row you're typing in.
If we're wrong about the language we auto-detect, you can choose your language manually by clicking on "choose language."
You can always change the language of the set by clicking on "change" next to the name of the selected language.
You can also select "Chemistry" or "Math/Symbols" as a language to use special math symbols.

To delete a term, hover on the term you'd like to delete and click on the "x" that comes up on the right:
To move a term, hover on the term and see these three lines show on the left (where the term count was):
Click and drag that icon to wherever you want to move the term.
To bold a word, simply surround it with asterisks like *this*.
Click on the image icon on the right to add images.

You can search user-contributed definitions on the terms you're entering by clicking on the search icon on the right.
Click "Create Set"
When you're finished creating your set, click on "Create" at the top or bottom of the page.

2,000 term limit
Each study set has a limit of 2,000 term/definition pairs. Older study sets may contain more terms than that, but to ensure that Quizlet is performant, we now limit each set to 2,000 terms.
