Senior Technical Program Manager

We’re looking for a proven program manager to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of our development teams. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, reporting to the VP Engineering, you will be responsible for collaborating with development teams to ensure programs align with the strategic goals of the company. You’ll help consolidate and improve the tools and processes by which the company will run all its cross-functional programs. You’ll assist teams in exploring alternatives and tradeoffs and ultimately drive consistent product delivery. You’ll work directly with product, engineering and marketing executives as stakeholders, using your ability to tailor communication to the audience. You may also take on responsibility for special analytical projects as needed, and assist in improving the consistency and organization of our internal documentation.

Additionally, you will:

  • Act on your own initiative, using knowledge of goals and success measures
  • Regularly communicate risks, key decisions, and milestones
  • Use metrics to highlight continuous improvement, quality, and predictability of team results
  • Drive continuous improvement of process, communication, and execution
  • Drive engineering programs supporting reliability and performance
  • Assist in budget analysis and performance
  • Act as a servant leader empowering people, encouraging resourcefulness and organization
  • Improve organization of documentation and train the team to do so as well

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a technical program manager
  • 2+ years supporting teams as a Scrum master or similar agile process
  • 1+ years experience supporting product development teams in a consumer Internet context (continuous server deployment, frequent mobile native releases, A/B tests)
  • Demonstrated ability to launch new features in a cross-functional, fast-growing organization
  • PMI certification desirable, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor communication to audience, presenting and collaborating effectively at executive, manager, individual contributor levels
  • Very high level of attention to detail, organization, analytical skills, developing models/spreadsheets
  • Track record of identifying priorities and juggle multiple demands while advancing key deliverables
  • Ability to influence all levels of the org and gain consensus in an opinion-rich organization
  • Data-oriented decision maker with diplomatic yet direct problem-solving skills
  • Expertise with modern project, issue, or ticket tracking tools
